Protective Measures One Should Undertake to Deal with Water Damage

Without wasting any time, let’s straight away discuss how we at home can safely handle water damage situation.

* The water damaged areas are prone to water and electrical hazards. So switch off the main water supply. The next thing is switch off the main power supply also. If the water is there near the electrical circuits, then it would be an added safety feature. Donot touch any electrical appliances, if they are wet.

* “Health is Wealth”. Keeping this begin the task of cleaning the home and extracting water. Wear gloves, and mask to begin with. These are important as you have to remove the items that are there immersed in the water & secondly one needs to clean the home. For cleaning the home, have a bucket, mop, towels, and disinfectants. If you are tired and need to have something to eat then wash the hands with a germicidal soap. In addition to this clean the utensils, soak them in boiled fresh water.
